Hello, I'm Alex.

I'm a technology consultant, solution architect and product builder based in Stockport, UK. I've spent over 25 years designing, building and delivering software, across businesses, products and the messy operational systems in between.

These days I spend most of my time helping organisations make better decisions about technology and AI, and building a few products of my own. I care a lot about understanding the actual problem before reaching for a solution. Most of the interesting work happens there.

I founded Bytechaser as the home for my consultancy work, and I'm building AI Food Focus and Feedbakkr alongside it. I write here when something feels worth writing down.

I believe AI should support people rather than replace them, that practical tools beat hype, and that the right solution matters far more than the latest model.
